The "disappear" thing to me is somewhat over-stated

Yes, Hudson could disappear in some games. However there are two things that are outside his control. To something extent the ability of someone to score is about math. The more that Seth Allen and LeDay shoot (for example), the less that others can. I remember a game earlier in the year - for exxample - that Seth Allen was basically driving and taking nearly ever shot in the later portion of the game. SHould others be criticized for not scoring when others are shooting more? There are only so many shot attempts. The more others shoot, the less others can.

Secondly, there were times when Hudson was on the bench for a long, long time. It is hard to "prove yourself" and score sitting on the bench. Someone might say that he deserved to sit if he isn't "scoring" But there was a second half in which he barely played. That could have been a matter of a particular lineup being hot but it should not be seen as "deserved"to sit.

And lastly what is "effort". Or how is it measured? Some people translate lack of points as lack of effort. Yes, there were times where he was slow to get in transition defense but did he fail to rebound? at the right times (there were times when no one tried to rebound on offense since they had to get back in transition).

Yes, Hudson has potential and he had the ability to average more points than he did. Yes, his effort appears questionable at times. Or his intensity. However on this team, in which no one was going to average 20 pts per game (LeDay and Allen averaged 15.5 and 14.7; Bibbs averaged 11.7 and that likely tapered off as his 3pt percentage went down) So what is the expected scoring average for someone who was likely going to be the 3rd-5th option anyway? Allen and LeDay were automatically going to shoot more than anyone else.
