Just in case anyone's still in denial about what happened w/Buzz

its pretty much confirmed, what I've been saying all along ...

he wanted those jobs. so to be fair, I said since I was just speculating, that of course he was listening ... but in fact, he was pursuing them, not just listening

as he should! as should be expected! this is a business! Buzz values being in that part of the country. It's not the only thing, but it's something that matters to him. It will always be in the equation when trying to determine the best path for his career, IMO.

but all of this - his pointed answer to the question about whether he was coming back, talking about his family .. the twitter absence ... none of these were coincidences ... not saying they weren't still overblown but in hindsight, buzz knew on the day that we lost in the NIT that there were going to be openings he wanted (needed!) to pursue, and he wasn't going to posture. He dodged the question in a poignant way, pretty much. He was also in limbo because the truth is, dude was gone.

If this is ... not appropriate ... fine ... I'll try not to come back and argue with anyone ... but I think it's important that our fans not be delusional about what just happened!!

it would have super sucked if we only got 2 years out of him. I think 3 is the break-even point (which hopefully we've secured), and anything more than that, is icing on the cake. I'm not even saying that he won't stay for life! But I'm saying - in on way shape or form is the plan for Buzz ever to stay more than 3-6 years, and lateral-or-better jobs in that part of the country are going to be the main bait

be grateful for what we have! and enjoy it while it lasts! and have confidence that Whit can and will hit another home run when it comes time to do this dance all over again!

have a nice weekend! :)
