Maybe so that one who makes that kind of money but really, living in Blacksburg is not the same as living in Wisconsin or anyplace else. His kids are at an age where moving all of the time has an important impact. Money is not everything and it would be difficult for any of us to move from a custom built home that you have planned and paid for. Some say the house is not an issue, and it may not, but really, his family and the impact of moving does have a "cost" that is difficult to measure. How many of us would move from such a situation given the total picture? Not many!
