Buzz was IN PLAY and he was LISTENING for sure

I mean no EVIDENCE of this but just, common sense given all the information (very little) that we had.

Anything more than that is probably speculation. Many will say I can't even know what I said above, and that's true, but it's my perception of the situation and I think it's a good one.

They took those other guys over Buzz. For whatever reason. Maybe Buzz never truly wanted to go but if you're in that position, you at least LISTEN ... and you don't even have that convo or sit down at the table to LISTEN to their offers unless you're prepared to leave.

He did his dance and it didn't work out - for whatever reason ... Buzz would have left if the offer were better suited for him and his family than his current one in Bburg. Period. I'm thinking he never got an offer, or he just wasn't willing to agree to terms that the other coaches were.

I honestly think that those schools chose those other coaches over Buzz. I believe Buzz would have left for the right offer. But it may have been that Buzz sat down and was just like "look yea I'll come but for $4mil/yr" or something, basically a "FU" offer. But if they said okay here's the $4mil then well he'd HAVE to go you know?

The fact that the guy seriously entertained other offers doesn't mean he's "disloyal" or "dishonest" or ANYTHING it just means uh if somebody says we want to talk, then, go listen?

It didn't work out. Which is best for us. So yay!
