Crean, Tubby, and Martin are not even remotely realistic

Yes, I know we lured Buzz two years ago, but that was largely because Buzz was desperate to get out of Marquette and we were willing to take him on with a contract that shifts almost all of the risk to us and gives him VERY little buyout to us after effectively 2 years should he move on.

For starters, I don't think Whit drafts a similar contract this time around. We won't be desperately looking to create buzz this time. We're looking for someone to hang around for the long haul (Buzz was never going to be that for us, sorry). Crean isn't leaving Indiana for Virginia Tech (I know his seat had warmed some, but I have to imagine that a Sweet 16 run has cooled that at least some). Martin would be making a lateral move at best. Tubby might be making a step up, but is likely in his very last stop (he'd be 65 when he coaches his first game for us).

This time around, we're going to make a hire more similar to Fuente. Not a super flashy hire, but a solid up and coming coach. Cooley, Miller, and Keatts clearly fit that bill, though I'll admit that it makes me nervous that Keatts has only coached for two years.

BTW, there are some here that say that even Miller is not realistic for us. I do leave him on my list as realistic because of Whit.
