that Coach Fuente can take our current cast of characters and perform a Buzz Williams type comeback just on coaching prowess alone. Old staff was comfortable. New staff is hungry. They will be much more hands on at the head coach/coordinator level. Coach Fuente will not be a CEO. These players will get coached up while CJF is recruiting his own players. Team will hold serve/show signs of improvement this season and be much improved the following season.

Whit has a timetable to get the ship righted in all sports and has concentrated his effort on revenue sports first. VT will be competitive in all sports in 5 years or less. Football and basketball will be playing at a conference championship level in 3 years or less. I feel really good about the future of the athletic department and the good times that are soon to come. It's already happening in basketball ahead of schedule and football is next.
