Not sure if Motu can deliver

I wasn't going to post this, but since this topic was brought up again, I reviewed the last game played again, vs. Tulsa. The reason this game is important is because it shows us any progress, if any, that Motu made since the beginning of the year. You can follow the link and see the same things I saw. Not a whole lot of running plays by Tulsa so not a whole lot of plays to review. You can downvote this you like, but watch the film and see if you disagree with me first.

at 4:17 mark, Motu was out of position to begin with and then blocked out of the play. The Tulsa RB, on his 2nd carry of the game, ran right through the middle of the defense by him and ran 50 yds for a TD.

10:10 - Motu seemed confused and apparently didnt even know where the RB was, on his 3rd carry of the game, as he ran right by Motu for 45 yards.

10:50 - Another 8 yard gain and Motu was blocked again as the RB ran by him.

46:20 - Motu out of position again and Tulsa RB ran right through the middle of the line for 35 yds.

49:22 - Motu easily blocked as the Tulsa RB ran 10 yards for another TD

1:01:42 - Motu out of position again, and the slow Tulsa QB runs right through the middle of the line by him for 9 yards and yet another TD.

Conclusions?
1. Motu has made little to no progress from the beginning of the year to the end
2. It is painfully obvious that opposing teams are targeting Motu, as they realize he is a weak link on the defense.
3. Motu seems to really lack a sense of field awareness, as he seems to not be paying attention to field developments as they are occurring. Once they occur, unfortunately he seems to be out of position a whole lot, and makes adjustments way too late to be of any use to the team.
4. Not all of this is Motu's fault. VT's defensive line was frequently gashed for huge holes for running lanes, so this is not all his fault. What is disappointing is that when he was needed to cover those gaps, he was usually AWOL or easily neutralized.
