I think Buzz had a lot of managerial uncertainty going on at Marquette when he left. And we have Whit and Sandsman, who have proven to be a fairly savvy guys when it comes to understanding the bigger picture. They won't let Buzz go without a strong fight, particularly given how things appear to be going.

Another factor that could be in play is the seemingly imminent changing of the guard within the ACC coaching ranks - Coach K, Pitino, Boeheim, Williams, Larrenega, Brey (to a lesser extent) all approaching retirement age. Sure these programs can bring in top notch coaches to replace these guys, but Bennett and Buzz have a jump on being the new guard.
