They often use this tournament to experiment with new rules (I think they tried the 30 second shot clock last year) and this year the main rule tweak is 6 fouls for a player before fouling out.

I think the shorter clock worked great this season and I hope this goes the same way. I've never quite understood why the NBA made it harder to foul out of a game than college.
