SG was treated like garbage by prior management...
Look at the dumpster fire he inherited, what he did with it, and what happened in 18 months after he left. Seth was a positive for the program and the university - he made VT relevant in the ACC with 2 cycles (Dowdell / Gordan and Delany / Allen). In turn VT went about firing him in what is perceived as a very unprofessional manner.
Now, maybe his act was becoming tiresome and it was time for him to go however 1) it was handled in a bush league manner, and 2) VT had no plan to improve upon SG's program.
We should appreciate what he provided to VT and know we kinda screwed him over. He's entitled to subtle jabs as long as he's not publically trashing the program (which I do not believe he has done).
Now I'll get off my soapbox.
