Ivy League is where the most intelligent kids go to school
For whatever reason, some choose to play football, without the benefit of a scholarship. It makes sense that the most intelligent students in America, who somehow elect to play football, should be shielded from the consistent brain trauma that football induces. I wish there could be a way for all universities to reduce the trauma all of these kids receive to their noggins. At least the brightest of the players will have a better chance to utilize their superior intellect later in life even though they have chosen to play football. FWIW I also played football and was fortunate to never experience a concussion but many of my teammates did and I'm now, decades later, seeing some of them experience Alzheimer's symptoms and worse. I still watch football, guiltily and admittedly hypocritically, but if I had a son he'd never play football. A lot of former college and pro players are now saying the same thing about their own sons.
