because I didn't even know he coached ice hockey until ESPN did an interview with him in the mid-2000s. I do think it is impressive that the Ivy League is willing to ignore the assumption (myth?) that if a team wants the best chance to win the upcoming game, then it must physically prepare (i.e. tackle teammates) in the practices leading up to the game. Gagliardi's players always practiced in helmets and shoulders (aka typical walk-thru practice uniforms), so I wouldn't be surprised if more teams eventually shift to that mindset.
