For the sake of conversation, lets just say that VT does not get selected for the NIT. What is everyone's opinion on Whit opening up the wallet a bit and letting Buzz take his team to one of the other postseason tourneys (CBI or Vegas16)?

The CBI would guarantee a couple more home games that may help to slightly offset the cost but they would likely be against not very sexy opponents. The Vegas16 tourney would mean the team would play all the games on a neutral floor in Vegas over 1 weekend.

With a young team playing well at the end of the season, it may be beneficial to give them a couple more weeks of practice and a common goal to work towards. Don't forget that VCU won the CBI the year before their final 4 run.
