I think they call it "market square" in downtown Knoxville. Apparently that place used to be awful in the early 2000s but they completely rehabilitated it and there are a ton of restaurants and bars.

The strip in Knoxville a $&@# hole. That area needs a ton of work.

The campus isn't much to look at. They've been doing a lot of work and constructing new buildings on campus, but it doesn't compare at at to VT's campus. My wife (a Vol) admits it herself.
