These folks need a new controversy to drum up every single day.... clicks = dollars. There's really no more reason to even engage most of this kind of stuff; it isn't coming from a place of actual thought; the only motive is "how can we twist this into today's outrage-du-jour in order to feed my readers' outrage addiction"? Once we realize that, we realize there's really no reason to pay any attention. Most "controversy" doesn't exist among real people with lives. It's all the 24 hour media, creating controversies that aren't there.
