I just noticed that our former assistant, Coach Stiney was hired as an assistant at JMU and he's not even going to be the offensive coordinator.

Think about this....at the time.... a national powerhouse in Virginia Tech even from 1999 until about 2010ish and Stiney the OC for the majority of that appointed by Coach Beamer. And......after a coaching change at VT due to retirement, nobody is knocking down the door to hire our former OC who oversaw a national power team as the OC? Nobody giving him a look at HC at FBS, or as an OC in the FBS, nor a HC in the FCS, nor an OC even in the FCS level.

This suggests our offense at Virginia Tech during his tenure was considered nearly a joke. We were laughable offensively, and it suggests poor choices in the area of hiring and keeping him by Frank Beamer. For many Tech fans who suggested the offensive coaching was not up to par over the years compared to those who blamed injuries, execution, or the players......well, it's now laid out clearly who was right and who was wrong.

The facts speak for themselves and ALL other schools are not dumb. Their HC's and ADs are not stupid. There is a reason they passed on Bryan Stinespring at the FBS level as a HC or OC, and there's a reason he has been passed on as a HC at the FCS level. That reason was......they deemed his performance at Virginia Tech as one of not worthy of having one of the above named positions.

This post is not intended as a rant or slam on Coach Stiney because it's not. This post is definitely intended as an absolute slamlming or questioning Frank Beamer's decisions on the offensive side of the ball over a long time......hiring Stiney and keeping him in place absolutely devastated our program COMPARED to where it would be if he would have made better choices instead of protecting his own. Coach Beamer, who I love was warned or at least hinted about our offensive problems by scores of fans over the years in the call in shows only to be scorned. Those fans at least regarding the issue of offense (were correct).
