against weaker competition anyway. compared to Lawson who may or may not be a legit candidate.. his tape at the high school level, and his measurables are what you like to see. can only assume the coaching staff didn't want to bank their season on what might be though.

as for Motley, they know what they have in him... he adds value to the QB spot, but likely doesn't have the ceiling of the other two.
