I think this is being overblown. At the same time, Buzz himself said


that "my responsibility is to the children and the families represented in the locker room first. Second, my responsibility is to win, to my boss."

I don't see determining game time as part of that. If I were making the decision, I would have let him know what was going on, but I would not have let him dictate the decision.
