In a perfect world, yes. But the REALITY is that some of these


kids have no interest in the education and just want to play ball (with the hopes of making it in the NFL). Whether that is realistic really isn't the point. Some of these kids are simply not going to benefit from the college education because they don't have that mindset. Just like some kids want to be electricians or plumbers or welders - we don't force them to lose 3 years of earning capacity to force them into a four year college first. We have trade schools, and apprenticeships. And we have the minor leagues in baseball. Same idea, and it would allow the kids time to physically mature until they are ready for the show.

But neither the NFL nor the NCAA wants this, because they both BENEFIT on the backs of these kids. Its a racket.
