Again - the problem is that there are no options for the players

who have no interest in an education. They have to come and play for "free" or give up their dream of the NFL. My opinion is that the NFL and the NCAA have a common interest in maintaining the three year rule to keep the elite athletes in college football for a few years to the benefit of the power schools and the NCAA generally, while serving as a zero cost developmental league for the NFL. I believe, without any proof, that there is a collusion between the two entities that is a win-win for them on the backs of SOME of the players. Not the guys who WANT a college education and to play college ball, but on the backs of the elite players who are only in school because IT IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR THEM TO PURSUE THEIR NFL DREAM.
