Overall, I wish people would grasp and understand the concept of "revenue"

vs. "profit". Do people think a major college football program has any expenses? Do people think the strength and training/medical staff works for free?

The "problem" with the Jay Bilas's, etc. argument is two fold. 1. They are vastly overstating the "revenue" generated in the first place. VT football does not generate 100 million dollars in revenue. March Madness does not generate a "billion" dollars in revenue. Not even close on either of those. 2. Both VT football and March madness have "expenses"- and huge ones at that.

If you want to pay all VT athletes based on the "profit" made by VT athletics, the pie would be very small for each player..very small.
