I realize UT was within their rights to do what they did,


but if something is legal or allowable, is it always the right thing to do? Maybe, maybe not. Every time UT or any other school does this, not only are they being rude/unprofessional to the recruit, they are alienating that kid's high school coaching staff, which might do more damage to their recruiting abilities in that area in the future. I have no respect for the decision of a school's coaching staff that would make an offer to a kid, then pull it or break ties with the kid for no good reason, VT included.
