Why did Smith transfer to GT? I know he got his degree at VT but could he not have continued on with advanced studies at VT? Did he not like the direction or how the basketball program was advancing?

I apologize for these questions as they are old and I am way behind the times. Trying to get back into VT basketball again, been watching any of their games on tv when I can, and following on my phone apps. Might try to catch some hoops on radio too.
