Andy, WRT the following statement you made regarding the Big XII

"If the Big 12 simply goes ahead and stages a conference championship, removing the ambiguity of its 'one true champion,'" doesn't playing a round robin schedule and CCG potentially cloud the "one true champion" mantra? I am thinking of cases where 1 team (Team A) finishes with the best conference record and the team that finishes second (Team B) is 1 or 2 games behind. If Team B pulls the upset, then won't that de-value the Big XII's CCG because both teams went 1-1 that season? For the conferences that have a CCG, I would think not playing a round robing conference schedule gives them a free pass on answering these types of questions. At least I am assuming that if the Big XII does decide to hold a CCG, then some of the first questions that will be answered by the media may include the following:

Why hold a CCG when the Big XII already plays a round robin conference schedule?

Does it make sense to play a CCG when the conference already plays a round robin conference schedule?

Does playing a CCG really address the issues that potentially cost the Big XII a spot in the 2014-15 Playoff? If so, then why is that a better solution than the Big XII enforcing its own tiebreaker rules (which it didn't do in 2014-15)?
