why not just lob it to somewhere between half-court and the other foul line and have all our guys there...with instructions to basically defend it like a football hail mary? That's what I was trying to sell to my wife at the time. I guess the big risk there is getting called for a foul...but I think the most likely outcome there is that no one can catch it cleanly...and even if they do, they're 50' plus away from the hoop, catching it in the air with 1 sec left.

What we did obviously worked, but wow JRob was close to kicking it out-of-bounds and giving them an inbounds from the corner to win.
