Calvin Johnson is 2 inches shorter, 4 pounds heavier and ran a 4.32 at the


combine with 42.5" vertical.

Hodges is likely a 4.6 guy with a 38.5" vertical

Johnson's hands and body control at that size are what makes him special. There are few better at "high pointing" a ball than Calvin (using his height and jumping to time high catches)

Hodges has average to below average hands and average to below average body control. Hodges does not "high point" the ball well, or use his frame as well as he could.

This is not to hammer on Hodges, but comparing him to a potential hall of famer is not fair. Hodges has a long way to go to reach a fraction of his potential...the good news is all of his strengths can't be taught, and all of his weaknesses can be learned.
