when Tech signed Loeffler, and he brought in Brewer, it was clear that Brewer would be the QB for the next couple of years.

Hodges had impressed Bud Foster as a solid TE candidate Hodges was faced with sitting buried on the depth chart behind Brewer, or getting on the field immediately as a TE.

Now it would be nice to have Hodges at QB. But just as Tech needed Logan Thomas more at QB then they did TE; Tech is in greater need of a TE then a QB at the time.
