Made a post about this the other day in a thread about despising Syracuse more than UVa. It is not anything Boeheim said, but rather, it is what Syracuse actually did to VT that makes me despise them. They voted to deny VT full membership in the Big East after VT was already in for football. This left VT in the A-10 and struggling with money and image for 10 years.

On the other hand, UVa's president Casteen actually voted VT into the ACC back in 2004, and said from the beginning of those negotiations that UVA would only consider ACC expansion if VT were included in the discussion. This bumped Syracuse out of the conversation at that time, and VT got in with an eventual revenue share coming in. That's enough for me.

I despise Syracuse as a whole in everything they do. I despise UVa's arrogant fans and condescension, especially hoops fans now. I don't despise the UVa the institution though because of 2004 and their sentiments to VT after April 16, 2007.
