If Im building a list of players I hope for VT to go after with 2 remaining scholarships (should they choose to use them) it is very distinctly 2 guys

Chandler Vaudrin, Winthrop
Robbie Beran, Northwestern

Neither are in the transfer portal, so there isnt anything to suggest VT is or would be after them...but they would fill every hole VT has in order to make a run at a title.

Beran would be a super logical fit...he is from Richmond, and knows Bamisile both from Richmond and when Bamisile was committed to Northwestern.

Vaudrin would have to decide he wants to come back for a 6th year, leave Winthrop AND VT would undoubtedly need to beat out a lot of suitors for him. He's a 6'7 PG and Big South Player of the Year. Averages 6.5 assists per game. He could play on or off the ball in MYs system and would be a phenomenal playmaker coming of ball screens as a wing. 37% 3pt shooter too. Would also be the guy VT needs to defend the bigger wings in the ACC. He isnt as athletic as most in the ACC but the way VT defends could cover up some of those deficiencies.

This list will evolve...but if those 2 come available...VT needs to be all-in
