the more I think about it the more we have 8/9 seed written all over us stacked up in Michigan’s bracket. The thing is we don’t have too much besides UVA, Villanova, and maybe Clemson that really jump out. We have a few good wins and really only one bad loss which is Penn St. Our record though is solid which will put us in the tourney. Even if we lose out including the ACC tourney (which really doesn’t effect seeding unless you win the whole thing) I see VT as no worse than a 10/11 seed that is solidly in the field avoiding the play in game. A split of both games puts us squarely on the 8/9 line and even winning both it wouldn’t shock me to see us as the highest 8 in the brackets though we might get a 7 then. I don’t see VT being higher than a 7 barring a deep ACC tourney run, but if you told me or any of us at the beginning of the season that we’d be in tourney I believe we all would have signed up for that in a heartbeat.
