I’m struggling to reconcile this with your article.

You wrote an article in Dec that surprised me. It read that VT would be making a mistake by firing Fu. I disagreed and still do.

Bottom line is: this won’t end well and won’t get better. My current feeling is that Fuente gets fired mid-season next year. We will only
Win a few and may not be competitive in many. This is a team without talent. And the talent is getting worse.

The recruiting is shockingly bad. Others act like it’s no big deal. But the price will be paid in the next 2-5 years.

Fuente can prove me wrong. He just needs to load up on transfers and ditch recruiting entirely.

It was a mistake to keep Fuente because we are just delaying the inevitable. He will be fired. And recruiting will not improve. And the fan base will become less interested and donations will decrease.

Which is why I was so confused reading your article. Because I’d rather try and fail on a merry go round than keep a coach that is in Wayyy over his head and has a staff that cannot do enough.
