Here's my take - N'Guessan is actually playing a lot more than MY probably

planned to play him and that's because Ojiako had a two plus month hiatus due injury in addition to Pemsl now being out with back spasms. And N'Guessan has done well with those minutes, aside from his happy feet that can't stay on the ground he is a good rebounder and he was the sole reason we beat Wake last week. If Pemsl was healthy we would see him giving Aluma and Mutts rest minutes before N'Guessan I'd bet. 2nd choice for those minutes would be Ojiako but for whatever reason he just doesn't look ready or comfortable on the floor and MY knows that better than anyone thus the reason for his very very limited minutes. Last night we basically only played 7 players (Ojiako was the 8th guy with 2 minutes I think) and that was a combination of the above - Pemsl injured, Ojiako not ready, but more so the fact that we needed every minute from our top 6 guys to win that game (N'Guessan being the 7th) so MY wasn't going to leave Ojiako in there long or play Mattox or Joe B in that crucial of a game unless he was forced to. Also one other thing to note since you mentioned it is there is no redshirts this year, remember everyone has a free pass this year (doesn't count toward eligibility) so essentially everyone is getting a redshirt this year. So in summary, no there really isn't great options for giving Aluma or Mutts long breaks right now. All things considered being thin in the front court and now Radford out MY has done a helluva job the past couple games.
