This is an average of many computer rankings. This looks beyond records and is pretty telling. VT and PSU aren’t significantly different but have vastly different schedules.

I was comparing VT against USC who is #17 with same 11-2 record. Difference lies in VT has more very poor OOC opponents and VT margin of victory has been in single digits many times.

According to computers VT has many losses ahead but still comfortably in NCAAT. Have to keep improving. You could argue improvement either way: a) we will improvers a greater rate than opponents because players dealing with a complex system, or b) the guys getting the most minutes are playing pretty much at their personal ceiling.
