I am also "not surprised" that OSU or Notre Dame got in. There's a difference in surprised and right and wrong. Ohio State didn't belong in there, period, but I knew they were a given to be picked. The Chairman of the CFP Board is a Big 10 athletic director. ND and A and M should have got in over OSU, but when coming down to A and M versus ND, I gave my reasons in the previous post why I felt A and M deserved to be there over ND. Additionally, I think A and M passed the eyeball test against ND. I think they would beat them. Vegas had hypothetical early odds a few days ago.

ND is +20.5 against Bama
OSU +7 against Clemson
They had the opening line for A and M if they would have been picked and A and M was +13 against Bama. Why a touchdown closer in odds than ND vs Bama even though Bama beat them up? Again, injuries. A and M had 7 starters out due to Covid/Covid tracing against Bama. A and M wouldn't beat Bama by any means, but yes, if healthy, they would be closer than ND. Only my opinion, but Vegas felt the same.
