This year I actually think not playing is a benefit for many reasons

1. Get over the bowl streak which does not matter except for fans.
2. Gives Fu and staff time for self reflection and player evaluation.
3. More time for recruiting. Which needs a lot of work.

The bowl game was likely going to be in Annapolis which is just like any other game. It does nothing for us in regard to recruiting or program recognition.
