That's what people fail to see. These players leaving all had faults. Sure, many have been talented, but many have simply left us wondering. Hooker was an enigma this year...thought he started well, but really regressed, ending with one of the strangest sideline spectacles I recall. Patterson never lived up to potential, nor did some of the others over the last few portal years. It's easy to blame the team for players quitting. Last I checked, those who have partaked in the portal to date haven't exactly turned into 5 stars and Heisman candidates. Grass is always greener until you get there and find out it's the same grass.
