There's a whole contingency of silent supporters who aren't vocal on the message boards. What you hear the loudest are those that, for whatever reason, are down on the coaches and feel they themselves can run the program better. I for one have been through the ups and downs of the program for over 40 years...and though I'm disappointed with this year...I am not disappointed with the program or the coaches. Yes...some questionable decisions were made this year. But I dare you to name any individual in any sport or profession that hasn't done the same. Fuente's years as a head coach at VT have been under the shadow of Coach Beamer and Coach Foster, changes in the transfer rules, COVID, first year defensive coordinator (and new defense)... So I will repeat...these years have been unique...I am disappointed with the year...I am not disappointed, nor have I lost confidence, in the coaching staff.
