Shane would be a top notch recruiter. He knows how to mix it up because he has recruited in the SEC where recruiting is intense and at Oklahoma where the competition definitely in Texas is strong. He has established high school relationships I bet in all parts of the south and he still has respect from coaches in this state. He also is Tech born, breed and blood. He will hire a very good staff plus, he will be home and perhaps the challenge to add or build on his dad legacy while establishing his own at Tech would hopefully be a challenge he welcomes.

This is just my 2 cents but there is definitely an upside having him as the chief whistle blower
