I think they're decent coaches. I think a lot of issues this year are at the feet of the virus impacts to practice and losing key players. Heck, even JHam hasn't been able to participate fully to actually install his defensive scheme, and he has no continuity of players to learn it. Every personal contact that has been relayed about Coach Fu has been glowing in terms of how he cares for his team, staff, and players.

However, I also think Coach Fu in particular, and Corny as well, don't seem to have the personality to get it done on the recruiting trail. I suspect this personality issue is why there are so many "rumors" of players with personality conflicts with Coach Fu - he's got a good heart and is a decent human being but he's having trouble relating to the players we attract. And Coach Fu isn't on the reputation ladder rung where an ace recruiter could cover the aversion to a more extraverted outreach and program leadership. Corny doesn't seem to have it either at least in-game with the right calls consistently.

This staff *could* be successful, but they need support and bit of a kick to up their public outreach game to fans, donors, and figure out a better message to improve recruiting. And they need an ace recruiter or two.

This season - with the COVID impacts, I'll say I don't have an opinion as to if Coach Fu needs to go or not. We don't know what we really have in this team because they've never had the chance to get it all together and perform. I'd be willing to see what next season brings, assuming these vaccines work and COVID isn't a factor anymore, before I'm willing to start screaming for heads.
