With the forensic examining going on, I see two big consistent findings:
1) Beamer held on to Stinespring too long as OC and, when he was finally replaced, Beamer forced a ineffective offensive philosophy on his successor (Leoffler; not that Loeffler was "all that" but he seemed more effective at Boston College than here)
2) Like you said, they let Cavanaugh go. It seems he was a quiet recruiting giant and letting him go was a big mistake. Lots of other issues, but those two seem two, recurring major themes.
