It might be the end of donating for me. And it would have little to do with


Fuente specifically. We’ve heard over and over again about how we need more money and can’t compete. But if we have the money to pay that buyout then we had money for other things that could have actually benefited the program. Nevermind that because of the pandemic you have the possibility of people losing their jobs or being furloughed because of budget issues while turning around paying someone else millions just to not work. It’s not a good look.

We couldn’t afford $1m million for an experienced DC (and that’s not a knock on Hamilton) but we’ve got $10 million + to throw down a hole? I realize it would be “privately funded” but where were those people previously?

My small donations won’t make any kind of impact but at least I won’t feel like they are being mismanaged.
