The athletic department has cash reserves, a portion of which is restricted/escrowed to cover near term debt payments. However, amount of cash reserves has not been disclosed publicly to my knowledge.

Tennessee has had debt issues in the past, some pretty severe issues some years ago. Fulmer will probably run them in the ground before they fire him though. The SEC money has kept them afloat in recent years.
