I think there is also real concerns with ability and depth on the CB side, so running more zone usually helps to hide the 1v1 man coverage lacks when someone can get torched. There was thinner depth when you lose what planned to be 3 starters for the entire season (farley waller hunter).

Obviously zone isn't working overly well for us either, as we rarely played zone in the past. Zone, and passing off recievers takes tons of familiarity with the other players - a luxury we didn't have this year.
