With the NCAA removing the win restrictions this year on bowl eligibility, all that matter are how many bowl tie ins a conference has.

If the ACC puts 2 in the CFP, (Clemson, ND)
then 1 in the Orange bowl, (Miami)
that leaves 10 bowl slots for the remaining 12 teams.

It's not quite 10 bowl slots because the Holiday and Sun bowl have been cancelled but we're not competing with a nation wide swath of bowl eligible teams. It's just the teams in the ACC.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Virginia Cavaliers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Louisville Cardinals, Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, and the Syracuse Orange all have less conference wins than we do. So even if it's only 5 bowl tie-ins left for the ACC, we get a spot.
