I don’t mean to change the topic, but this year is bringing a correction to college athletics. To spend $12 million on a buyout at this point is bordering on irresponsibility. We will have to live with that (Fuente) for another year, I think.

When the Ivy League is canceling seasons and Stanford is canceling programs, these are extreme times. Some people need a perspective adjustment. Yes, I know Coach’s personality and leadership style may not work long-term, but we cannot simply throw away $12 million when ticket revenue is null and will be lower going forward.

The golden age of college athletics may be over.
