The here and now is important but the here and now also impacts "tomorrow".

My concern is the long-term impacts. What's the general attitude now towards VT football throughout the fan base? Once we move past COVID, are people going drop coin for donations and seating? How engaged and excited is the fan base?

We are an average 4-4 team with four close losses, two close wins, and two comfortable wins. Does that build brand excitement? Do you plan your day around VT football or is it the other way around now? The world today is all about the W's and winning against the team's you should beat. That's the economic driver and that's what sustains your program.

Does this mean we need to go head hunting? Not my call to make but as with any business (yes college football is a business), if you continue to see the same detrimental tendencies a performance plan is in order and/or a different direction is needed.
