He is lacking there too. Anybody who didn't see this crash and burn coming wasn't looking. When your HC initiates contact about another job that damage goes downhill fast, Don Devoe won the NIT at VT MBB in 1973, in 1974 he was #2 in line for the Ohio State job but the damage was done and despite the success he had to go. If he had been loyal who knows what would have happened at VT-he was really a good fit. I think he wound up at Wyoming (not a MBB powerhouse nor did it become one under him) and concluded at Navy (same scenario).
CJF's dalliance with the Naylor job cannot be undone nor can the damage.
