You’ll be shocked how many studs we had on prior teams especially during the run of 10-win seasons... it was the Vick effect, but that faded and our talent level is back to the 80s/early 90s now, but without great coaching.

The gap is actually shocking especially on the defensive side... we are so weak on the D-line now and up the middle in general, making the need for a great D-coordinator even more important.

This is not a COVID issue... years of generally poor recruiting. You can bring in a few skill position guys from the portal to help here and there, but games are won in the trenches and we can’t stop anyone consistently with such weak d-line players.

This is likely going to get worse before getting better I’m afraid... not expecting any more wins this Season sadly. Very rough on those of us who’ve been around to see the Rise, only to witness the Fall back to where we were decades ago...
