In the 100 some odd field goals kicked against VT in the last 5 years how many times did CJF call a timeout to “check the personnel?” or for any reason other than to ice the kicker? I can’t remember ever seeing us call a timeout on a FG attempt and then changing the personnel on the field.

He just needs to say: “I momentarily lost my mind and really was trying to ice the kicker on his 59 yard attempt.” There is no other explanation.
