I think who ever is coach (FU or FU's replacement) needs more funding. Somehow we missed the ball on this and I put that squarely on FU. He has to ask for resources. I don't think he understood recruiting at the P5 level and it has shown. Making tentative steps to right the ship but took too long. Additional resources are being applied but it is all catchup. We can never get really far ahead though On the whole development idea I agree we have to hang our hats more on that than 4-5stars. Some good evidence in the FU camp here. JHam experiment will play out. Was going to be a painful process regardless of when it happened (Foster leaving, scheme change). We have never had a great salesperson at HC. I wonder what a Dabo would do here. Again money is involved there to because he hired great OC/DC and is in a better recruiting footprint than us butttt......compared to USC-E he is not yet he has distanced them and then some.

Of course given money situation in college athletics now and at VT we are not paying any buyouts absent catastrophe and even then it is iffy. If Covid and no fans are are a situation again next year the whole environment changes for everyone in a much more severe manner and a total reshuffle in possible.
